Gunyah : The property
Gunyah is a 400 acre property which fronts a 2 km length of the peacefull Deepwater River. The property is now a much reduced size from the thousands of acres once taken up by the enterprising Emmanuel Barratt in the late C.19th. He went on to establish shops and more notably the 1st pub, and later the race track, in the new village of Deepwater.Six generations later, the property still retains many original stands of trees and unmolested or regenerated river banks and waterway .The property has limited grazing from domestic stock and continues to support a varied array of fauna and flora native to the area.
